In general, if you are a beginner pointe dancer, you will be looking for the softer shank as this makes it easier to get up on the box of your shoes. If you are intermediate , the medium shank should be fine and if more advanced, you know what you like best. I will tell you a little about each of the styles offered hereBrava -brava has a wide toe platform, slightly tapered box, it narrows from the metatarsal to the heel and a medium crown.Almaz- The Almaz has a medium toe platform, the box tapers from the metatarsal to the heel and has a low crownSaphir-The saphir has a medium toe platform, a tapered box, a low crown and a pre arched shankMuze- This shoe has a really wide and generous toe box. The crown is mediumRubin-The Rubin has a wide toe platform and a slightly tapered box, low crown and pre arched construction.
